Torae: "Alive" from "For The Record"

Wale: Before He Was Ambitious

Wale has gotten plenty of love on the radio thanks to two hot tracks, none more lady friendly than "Lotus Flower Bomb", but he was grinding long before that and this particular track is proof positive that, eventually, the real world catches on to the talent that the underground hip-hop heads already knew about.

Throwback: What Common Really Needs to Tell Drake

I like both artists, but frankly they're little beef is kinda for the birds. No one cares about it because no one considers Drake to be anything more than a soft dude with some hot tracks. He's not gonna scare any true street cats unless he's got Baby and Wayne flanking him.

That said, I'm a common flunkie from the way back, I'm talking before he was "Common" but rather just "Common Sense" and I loved "Can I Borrow A Dollar?".

One of my fave tracks from that album, even though it was mainstream, was "Take It Easy"; and when you consider the merits of this so called beef, it seems fitting to play it here today.

Action Bronson ft. Smoke DZA — "Big Bad Dangerous"

While Smoke DZA featured that raw ass cut on his last mixtape, "Sweet Baby Kushed God", I actually heard it first on Bronson's "Starving on Reality". But, no matter when you hear this joint, it's hot as hell.

Phil Ade — "Let It Shine"

Thurz: "Prayer" from L.A. Riot

Nice track from Thurz's solo project, "L.A. Riot". You should check the album out if you haven't already.

The Cool Kids

Raekwon Giving Altrina Renee Some "Facetime"

Very hot joint, by Altrina Renee, off Raekwon's recent mixtape—"Unexpected Victory"—called "Facetime".

La Di Da

Heard this, thought it was kinda nice. Not lyrically impressive, but still nice. Stan Ross, Topaz Jones, & Bugz: "La Di Da", from the TastemakersNJ Mixtape.

Love This Little "Gem"

Download his free mixtape here.

Kendrick Lamar

I'm a serious fan of Kendrick Lamar. P&P (AKA Pussy & Patron) was the first song I ever heard, but this track doesn't come close to showcasing how sick K.Dot is lyrically; it's just for fun because I like the groove.

Kendrick Lamar: P&P

Hello

This is my space. Call it a video/music blog because I won't be doing much written commentary. If you like good music and enjoy hearing something that the radio hasn't already spun into oblivion, then this is the spot for you.

Enough chat, lets commence with the hot sh!t.
