Torae: "Alive" from "For The Record"

Wale: Before He Was Ambitious

Wale has gotten plenty of love on the radio thanks to two hot tracks, none more lady friendly than "Lotus Flower Bomb", but he was grinding long before that and this particular track is proof positive that, eventually, the real world catches on to the talent that the underground hip-hop heads already knew about.

Throwback: What Common Really Needs to Tell Drake

I like both artists, but frankly they're little beef is kinda for the birds. No one cares about it because no one considers Drake to be anything more than a soft dude with some hot tracks. He's not gonna scare any true street cats unless he's got Baby and Wayne flanking him.

That said, I'm a common flunkie from the way back, I'm talking before he was "Common" but rather just "Common Sense" and I loved "Can I Borrow A Dollar?".

One of my fave tracks from that album, even though it was mainstream, was "Take It Easy"; and when you consider the merits of this so called beef, it seems fitting to play it here today.
